SERDANG - Faculty of Educational Studies (FES), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is ranked among the world's top 100 faculties in educational studies, outdoing more than 2,000 other universities around the globe.
According to the latest rating of the QS World University Rankings 2013/14, UPM is sharing 51th to 100th place with three other Asian universities, Universiti Malaya, Beijing Normal University, Peking University and Seoul National University.
Four other Asian universities that are in the top 50 are, University of Hong Kong; Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; Chinese University of Hong Kong, and National Taiwan Normal University.
Among the criteria used in the rating include the construction of a strong profile among the academics and graduates recognition by employers worldwide.
This latest rating manifests that FES has successfully developed an international reputation for academic standards and quality of graduates.
Dean, Prof. Dr. Ab Rahim Bakar said, FES improved performance this year reflects the growing reputation of the teaching faculty resulting from its researches, publications as well as academics network with their counterparts nationally and globally.

In addition, in the last five years, FES has done several improvements in its internationalization activities that include lecturers and students mobility, researches and publications, recognitions and citations in high-impact journals, and book publishing for international markets.
