Monograph Collaboration Video

The Video Collaboration facility is used for the Distance Learning programme, meetings, VIVA (Graduate Students), telemedicine and research collaborations.

Video Collaboration offers a dynamic audio-video channel for participants in different locations to ‘get together’ for teaching & learning purposes, meetings and the sharing of information, with the convenience of a desktop/laptop computer.

iDEC provides Video Collaboration Services under the Research and Academic ICT Support

Department. Basically, the Video collaboration is the deployment of hardware and software.

1. Hardware deployed in Video Collaboration

iDEC employs video collaboration equipment from Tandberg, Aethra, Kedacom and Radvision. This facility enables video communication between UPM Serdang Campus and outside agencies.

2. Software deployed in Video Collaboration

This technology is used extensively in the Distance Learning Programme (PJJ), and iDEC facilitates the operation of live video collaboration for the UPM Distance Learning program..
