SERDANG - For the first time ever, the Faculty of Science Computer and Information Technology (FSKTM) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) holds a 2015 UPM FSKTM Product Launch Ceremony to promote eight innovative products, aimed at cultivating creativity among its faculty staff.
Vice-Chancellor of UPM, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Fauzi Ramlan said the event was in line with the university’s aspiration to promote UPM research which could benefit the community as well as the country.
“It also helps to promote the research findings to stakeholders for the purpose of commercialization and innovative entrepreneurship by UPM to a high level and internationally recognized market,” he said when launching the 2015 Innovative Product Launch Ceremony here.
UPM, he added, would continue to support the research by providing Market Grant Research for researchers under the Innohub Putra Science Park programme.
Meanwhile, the eight products which were launched were FoodPin and HealthLink created by Assoc Prof Dr. Marzanah A. Jabar and Dr. Wan Nurhayati Wan Ab. Rahman; Quantum Communication Simulator (QuCS) by Assoc Prof Dr. Zuriati Ahmad Zukarnain; CASD-PAC System by Assoc Prof Dr. Rahmita Wirza O.K. Rahmat, Assoc Prof Mohd Hasan Selamat and Dr. Rohaya Latip; TOGO - Touch & Grow by Dr. Puteri Suhaiza Sulaiman; ExpoUni by Dr. Rohaya Latip; LoQET by Dr. Sa’adah Hassan, Dr. Azrina Kamaruddin, Dr. Noraini Che Pa and Dr. Novia Admodisastro and Scarf@Equation by Dr. Azree Nazri. - UPM
