TN50 Dialogue Session between Higher Education Minister and Academics

SERDANG, 25 July - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) organised the National Transformation Dialogue 2050 (TN50) with the Higher Education Minister, Dato' Seri Idris Jusoh, to gather ideas on the realisation of TN50.

During the discussion session, Dato' Seri Idris Jusoh supported the ideas of the academics on ways to empower the higher education system and the application of technology in education.

 

The aspirations voiced included empowering the higher education system, instilling compassion in students, enhancing collaboration with industry, applying technology in learning and creating wise leaders capable of benefitting the community.

 

Also present at the dialogue session was the Deputy Higher Education Minister, Datuk Dr. Mary Yap Kain Ching, Secretary-General of Ministry of Higher Education, Tan Sri Dr. Noorul Ainur Mohd Nur, Director General of Higher Education, Department of Higher Education, Datin Paduka Ir. Dr. Siti Hamisah Tapsir, Vice Chancellor UPM, Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Aini Ideris, Senior Management of UPM as well as academics from public and private institutions of higher learning.

TN50 is an effort to shape Malaysia's future for the next 30 years (2020 to 2050) after the year 2020. - UPM
