BUKIT JALIL, 30 Oct –Chui Lai Kwan of UPM bagged three gold medals at the IPT Games (SUKIPT) 2012 held at the Bukit Jalil National Aquatic Centre. Her golden haul came from the. women’s 800m individual freestyle, 400m medley, and 200m backstroke.
Lai Kwan’s triple success and a silver won by Lee Zien Huey in the women’s 800m individual freestyle put UPM ahead of other contingents in the swimming category.
Chui Lai Kwan is of course no newcomer to the swimming scene, having represented Malaysia at the South East Asia Aquatic Championship in Singapore and in the qualifying rounds for the 012 London Olympic games.
UPM congratulates both Lai Kwan and Zien Huey on their success and wishes them all the best for the future.
