HPUPM Prostate Health Awareness Campaign

SERDANG, Nov 20 – The HPUPM Prostate Health Awareness Campaign 2021 has been held at the Universiti Putra Malaysia Teaching Hospital (HPUPM) with an aim to provide early awareness to the public about prostate cancer.

The campaign which was held for the first time at HPUPM, aims to educate the public to undergo screening to detect prostate diseases at an early stage.

It was officiated by UPM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman.

The campaign was in line with the Men’s Health Awareness Month celebrated in November annually.

This campaign is launched to raise public awareness on prostate health care, risks and early signs of prostate cancer, as well as to encourage early screening and treatment.

Also present were UPM Board Member, Prof. Dato' Dr. Mohd Ali Hassan; UPM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Community Relations), Professor Ir. Dr. B.T. Hang Tuah Baharudin; UPM Registrar, Muhazam Mansor; HPUPM Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohd Isa; Dean of UPM Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FPSK), Prof. Dr. Zamberi Sekawi; and Head of HPUPM Urology Department, Assoc.
